Let our Working Cats work for you!

By nature, some felines are suited entirely for outdoor life. Many of our cats come from situations where they have never been domesticated and joined colonies with other feral cats. Human population booms on the island lead to increased building and construction which causes these colonies to break up and scatter, leaving these cats vulnerable. Our island cats are rescued from environments that can be dangerous to their survival with a bleak outlook for their futures. They are not adjusted, and usually will not adjust, to the indoors and prefer to live outdoors. We refer to these undomesticated felines as “Working Cats”.

Working Cats thrive on the opportunity to rid work yards, warehouses and large properties of unwanted pests and critters. They are excellent at preventing these intruders from causing damage to your property and help to keep other stray cats far away from their new territory - Working Cats become loyal working members of your team.

Our goal at Island Cats is to give our hardest working felines the chance to not only prove themselves, but to be placed where they will be wanted, cared for and valued.

If you are interested in starting a Working Cat Program at your business or property, please contact us to discuss further. We are here to answer any questions and will walk you through the process to ensure success for you and your Working Cat.
